About Us

History

Ottershaw Cricket Club has a long history of cricket in the village being formed in 1860, and playing a vital role in delivering and offering cricket to the local comunity.  Joining up with Hamm Moor Cricket club ensured the future growth of the club and we now boast a Saturday XI playing in Div 1 of the Surrey Cricket League, A Sunday XI playing social Cricket and comprehensive Junior Cricket.  The club house is well equipped and we go out of our way to make sure all visitors, members or not are made welcome to our club.

Juniors

We run the All Stars Cricket Program in association with the English Cricket Board for 6 to 8 years old and proves to be great fun and a fantastic learning experience for the younger children who are looking to get involved in Cricket.  Our Pups, 9 to 11 years old form our intermediate group focused on specific skills development and growth playing mainly friendlies throughout the season.

The Otters, our Junior Development age Group for players 12 and over play league fixtures, friendlies and help out with the occasional T20 and the focus is very much on technique development, motor skills and mental strength.  Our coaches are all qualified and trained in coaching, experienced in playing the game, first aid trained and also have Safeguarding qualifications to ensure your child is getting the best training

and development in a safe, secure and encouraging environment.

Seniors

We have a league tema playing Saturdays in the Surrey Cricket League in Division 1 and a Sunday Social team playing on Sunday Afternoons.  Our league team compete at a high level and have done very well over the last few seasons looking for promotion this year to the premier division.

Our Sunday Social team is just that, social cricket for the enjoyment of playing the game.  All players are welcome to join and we are always looking for players to join both the League and Social teams.
